BIOGRAPHY
Dimitri Baeriswyl grew up in the French-speaking part of the canton of Fribourg. He studied medicine at the Universities of Fribourg and Basel, with study visits to Berlin and London. After graduating in 2012, Dimitri Baeriswyl spent six months working in a children’s hospital in Central America and two years in surgery and anesthesiology at the Waidspital in Zurich. He trained as an ophthalmologist at the eye clinics in Lucerne, Lausanne and Neuchâtel, where he received his medical degree in 2021. His surgical training followed in Neuchâtel and Valais. In 2023, he received his FMH diploma as an ophthalmic surgeon. Dimitri Baeriswyl has been part of the team at the Bern Eye Clinic since mid-January 2024 and also works at the outpatient clinic of the Biel Eye Center.
